The RNICU at Sparrow Health System is an intensive care unit for newborn babies who are born too early (premature) or sick full-term babies.
The RNICU provides care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for infants throughout the mid-Michigan region. Each year nearly 600 acutely ill
infants are cared for in Sparrow's RNICU under supervision of Michigan State University neonatal faculty.
The RNICU has many specially trained nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals so that each baby gets plenty of individual care.
Special equipment designed to support the developmental needs of all infants as well as multiple treatment methods are available.
